Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We are looking for a Land Surveyor - Crew Leadto support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By leading survey projects and guiding the next generation of engineers, you will be supporting our mission of developing a better tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a crew in performing Boundary and Topographical Surveys, Right of Way Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Utility Surveys and Constructional Layout, for municipal, private and roadway projects.
Utilize Trimble Robotic, GNSS and Conventional equipment, 3D Scanning equipment, UAS, and survey data collection software to take measurements and collect relevant information.
Perform daily import of all field collected data.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and professional field notes.
Perform general equipment maintenance.
Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and requirements of CDI.
Primarily field work, some travel may be necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
Previous experience leading field personnel in field surveying procedures.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Geography, preferred.
5+ years of land surveying experience.
Prior experience with Trimble software and/or equipment is preferred.
This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO or Collinsville, IL. Travel is up to 15%. Why Join CDI?

Work is generally performed outside at various job sites. May be exposed to all kinds of weather conditions including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, high winds, humidity, and dusty conditions. Physical activity is required including walking, standing, carrying equipment, stooping, kneeling, and bending. May be exposed to site conditions including exhaust fumes, dust particles, insects, wildlife, plants, poison ivy, and other environmental elements. Must be able to lift/carry 30lbs in field conditions. Up to 10% of work performed inside.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000-$85,000/year. Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
